Description

L(+)-Rhamnose (Rham) is a naturally occurring deoxysugar found mainly in plants and some bacteria. Unlike most natural sugars, its configuration is L, not D. It is a major structural component of plant cell walls and binds to other compounds, such as phenols. It is now used as an anti-wrinkle agent due to its anti-inflammatory and skin soothing properties.
