Description

1-Octacosanol (1-Octacosanol), also known as priol, is a saturated monohydric alcohol commonly found in waxes of plant leaf epidermis, such as the leaves of eucalyptus, forage grasses and grains and grains, acacia, Clover, pea and other legumes are sometimes the main constituents of wax. Octacosanol is also present in wheat germ. Octacosanol is insoluble in water, but soluble in lower alkanes and chloroform.
