Description

Zinc pyrithionium, also known as zinc pyrithione or zinc ometine, is a colorless solid that is almost insoluble in water under neutral conditions at room temperature. This zinc complex was synthesized and used as a topical antifungal or antibacterial agent as early as the 1930s.
