Description

Phenylmagnesium bromide is an organometallic compound used as a Grignard reagent. , 2-Triphenyl-1,2-ethylene glycol. Under the condition of cooling in diethyl ether, diphenyl tellurium dibromide is added, and the reaction is carried out by heating on a water bath to generate phenyl-o-tolyl magnesium bromide and diphenyl tellurium. It is prepared by heating and reacting o-bromotoluene and metal magnesium in a hydrogen atmosphere with dry benzene as a solvent in the presence of dimethylaniline.
