Electrolytes used in the manufacture of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, pure potassium fluoride, and elemental fluorine. It is also used in the manufacture of optical glass and etched glass. It can be used as welding flux for silver products, wood preservative, masking agent and catalyst for benzene alkylation, etc.
