Description

Sodium dichloroisocyanurate (INN: sodium troclosene, troclosenum natricum or NaDCC) is a compound used as a disinfectant, bactericidal algaecide, industrial deodorant and detergent. It is present in some newer water purification tablets or filters. It is more effective than the previous use of Harazon water sanitizer. The mechanism of action is the release of chlorine gas at a constant rate at low concentrations.
