The total synthesis of Taxol was successfully achieved by three laboratories in the United States through different routes. However, due to the complex synthesis steps and high cost, there is no industrial application value. Later, it was found that 102 dechemicalbook acetylbaccatine III (102DAB) extracted from the leaves of Taxus chinensis could be used for semi-synthesis. As long as the chiral taxol side chain f was introduced into the 102DAB molecule, taxol could be obtained. Therefore, the side chain of paclitaxel, as a pharmaceutical intermediate, is mainly used in the synthesis and preparation of raw materials.
