Description

Cyclohexyl chloroformate is a colorless to light brownish-yellow transparent liquid, which is soluble in ether but insoluble in water. Can be used as pesticide intermediates. Colorless liquid, reacts with water or heat. Flash point: 53°C. Colorless to pale brownish yellow transparent liquid. Soluble in ether, insoluble in water. Boiling point: 87.5°C. Colorless to pale brownish yellow transparent liquid. Freezing point -60 ℃, boiling point 87.5 ℃ (3.6kPa), relative density Chemicalbook1.128 (20/4 ℃), refractive index 1.4585. Soluble in ether. It has a pungent odor and can be slowly hydrolyzed in water to generate cyclohexanol, carbon dioxide and hydrogen chloride or to generate dicyclohexyl carbonate, which is easier to hydrolyze in alkaline aqueous solution; it can be alcoholylated to generate dicyclohexyl carbonate at room temperature.
