Description

Polyglycolic acid is a crystalline polymer with a crystallinity of 46 to 52%, a density of 1.5 to 1.64 g/cm3, a glass transition temperature of about 36 °C, a melting point of about 224 °C, and good mechanical properties of high molecular weight polyglycolic acid. . Because polyglycolic acid is a dense crystalline polymer caused by Chemicalbook, it is almost insoluble in all organic solvents except hexafluoroisopropanol. Polyglycolic acid (PGA) has been used in many fields such as tissue engineering scaffolds, drug sustained-release carriers, and barrier materials due to its excellent mechanical properties and biodegradability. Polyglycolic acid is a thermoplastic linear polyglycolic acid with certain processability, which can be extruded, injected, spun and blown with general equipment. Polyglycolic acid is a synthetic polymer material with good biodegradability and biocompatibility. Different from traditional high Chemicalbook molecular materials with stable performance, such as plastics and rubbers, polyglycolic acid is used as a material for a certain period of time. Then it gradually degrades and finally becomes water and nitrogen that are harmless to human body, animals and plants and the natural environment. The application of polyglycolic acid is mainly manifested in two aspects: biomedicine and ecology.
