Description

N-Iodosuccinimide is a iodo substituted succinimide that is used as an iodinating agent in chemical synthesis. production method: 1. In the dark condition, make succinimide react with silver oxide to prepare N-succinimide silver. It reacts with iodine in dry dioxane to generate N-iodosuccinimide. 2. Put 20 grams (0.079 moles) of iodine and 90 ml of dry dioxane in a wide-mouth, screw-cap brown bottle with a capacity of 150-200 ml, most of the iodine is dissolved. 18 grams (0.087 moles) of thoroughly dried silver N-butadiimide were added. The bottle was shaken vigorously for a few minutes, the mixture was shaken occasionally over the next 1 hour, and then heated in a 50°C water bath for 5 minutes. Strain hot through a Buchner funnel into well-wrapped black paper or aluminum foil. milliliter filter bottle. Collect silver iodide and wash with 10 mL of hot dioxane. Combine the filtrate in the filter flask, add 200 ml of carbon tetrachloride, let the solution cool at -8 ℃ to -20 ℃ overnight, and N-iodosuccinic imide becomes colorless crystals. Collect in a Buchner funnel with as little exposure to light as possible, wash with 25 mL of carbon tetrachloride, and dry with suction. Dry overnight at 25°C/1m rn in the dark.
