Description

3-Indolebutyric acid is also known as indolebutyric acid and indolizine butyric acid, molecular formula C11H12O2N, molecular weight 190.22, pure white crystalline solid, melting point 124~125℃. The industrial product is white to light yellow crystal, melting point is 121~124℃. It has a special smell and is poisonous! It is irritating, and the vapor pressure at 60℃ is <10μPa. Insoluble in water, the solubility in water at 20 ℃ is 0.25g/L. Easily soluble in benzene and soluble in other organic solvents, the solubility (g/100ml) is: benzene>100; acetone, ethanol, ether 3-10; chloroform 1-10. 3-indolebutyric acid has low toxicity to humans and animals, and It is acid stable and forms salts in solutions of alkali metal hydroxides and carbonated Chemicalbook compounds. Indole can be obtained by Grignard reaction or hydrolysis of nitrile. In agriculture, 3-indole butyric acid can be used as a plant growth promoter, which can promote root growth and fruit ripening. Its effect is stronger than indole acetic acid. Indolebutyric acid is a good growth regulator for promoting the rooting of large cherry rootstock cuttings. Cuttings can be treated by high-concentration rapid dipping method or soaking method. The high-concentration rapid dipping method is to dip the base of the cuttings in the IBA solution with a concentration of 5×10-4 to 1×10-2 for 5 seconds, and then immediately cut the cuttings on the cutting bed. It has the advantages of short treatment time, uniform application and good effect. After treatment, if simazine (20.375 grams per meter) is added to the slotting bed, the rooting rate will be higher.
