Description

Arsenic trioxide (scientific name: Asadin; drug name: Asadin), commonly known as arsenic, white arsenic, and As2O3, is the most commercially valuable arsenic compound and the main chemical starting material for arsenic; it is also one of the oldest poisons. It is odourless and tasteless; its appearance is white frost-like powder, hence its name arsenic. This is a highly toxic by-product of certain mineral treatment processes, such as gold mining, high-temperature distillation of arsenopyrite (arsenopyrite) and condensation of its white smoke.
